North American Bears
The best known bear from North American Bears is Muffy. Her family, the VanderBears, was introduced in 1983 including her parents Cornelius and Alice, and twin siblings Fluffy and Fuzzy. Muffy was introduced the next year in her christening gown. Her best friend is a rabbit called Hoppy VanderHare and she has a horse called Oatsie and a dog called Lulu. They are all jointed. Barbara Isenberg and her brother Paul Levy joined together to form North American Bear Company. Designer Odl Bauer helped design the bears for them starting with Albert the Running Bear. They made a series of bears called VIBs ( Very Important Bears). They included such bears as Humphrey Beargart, Libearace, Napoleon Bearnapart and Jacque Bearsteau
